SHARA is a sustainable textile studio with a focus on natural dyeing. We use plants and food waste to create the most beautiful pigments from nature. We create our own small collections, and also love to collaborate with other brands of similar values. As many business are now leaning towards a more sustainable approach, we often collaborate together to create a fully naturally dyed collection.

Or goal is to continue to promote the use of natural dyeing within textiles. Our environment is at risk and the synthetic, chemical dyes are extremely harmful to our environment. Water streams are severely polluted to the point that the chemicals are killing much of the sea life.  They are also extremely harmful for the health designers and workers within the textile industry.

HOWEVER, the industry may gradually be improving! 

Natural dyes are a much safer alternative than the use of these harsh chemicals. It gives an excellent use for certain food waste, skins and scraps. Using nature for dyeing ensures much cleaner waters. It's much healthier for the textile workers, and for us to wear on our skin.
